John worked at Inland Steel (1957-69), Biegel's Garage (1969-84), and Tolley's Automotive in Hebron (1984-2002).
John loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and dog.
John is survived by his high school sweetheart, Ginny, of 58 years; sons: Bill Tolley and Scott (Valerie) Tolley; grandchildren: Brandy (Russell) Parks and Eric Tolley; brother, Frank (Bobbi) Tolley; brother-in-law, Hubert Dumbsky (Eve Conway); nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Gertrude Tolley; brother, James Simmons; sister, Gertrude Dumbsky.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Geisen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, with a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
Memorial donations may be made in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis TN.
