Archie Ray Bird, 79, of Canyon died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo with David Cartwright and John Spooner officiating. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. in Canyon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home.
Mr. Bird was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Vernon. He worked as a driller in the oil field and barbered in Hobbs, N.M. He served with the Navy in World War II. He belonged to Canyon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Hamilton and husband, Joe, of Amarillo; two daughters, Edna Ruth Burgess and Eleanor Elsie Thompson, both of Hobbs; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
