She graduated from University of North Texas with a Master’s Degree in Math and Business. In 1975, she was hired by the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier in Aubrey. After 21 years of carrying mail, she retired to enjoy life and her family. Her husband of 48 years passed away in July 2005. She loved her family and she loved her three granddaughters and her great-grandson to the fullest. She was her great-grandson’s biggest fan during baseball season. She always told people she had to play twice as hard with Tanner, because he never got to meet his grandfather. It didn’t matter if it was a rodeo or baseball game, she was there – rain, coldest day of the year, or the hotest – she would cheer him on. She will be especially missed by her family and friends. Her only child, Teresa, says that Naomi was her best friend. They had a lot of fun together and Teresa will cherish that forever!
