"Mr. John T. Dickard, 74, of XXX died at Palmetto Medical Center.
Born in Pickens County, son of the late Bill and Nettie Evans Dickard, he served in the US Army during the Korean Coflict and was volunteer fireman with the Easley Fire Department for 21 years. Mr Dickard retired from Ohio Gear and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Black Dickard of the home, a son John Scott Dickard of Pickens, two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Benjamin, Sherrie and Dorian Hopkins, all of Ealsey; four sisters, Catherine Looper and Inez Batson , both of Pickens, Frances Barber and Gladys Owens, both of Easley; seven grandchildren...Mr Dickard was predeceased by seven brothers and a sister. "
