A retired auto parts salesman and a resident of Jarreau, he died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 74, an Air Force veteran and a native of Maben, Miss. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, Wednesday, April 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home Thursday, April 8, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., with his nephew, the Rev. Dr. Cary Kimbrell, officiating. Entombment in Chenal Mausoleum, Jarreau. He is survived by a daughter, Beth Kimbrell Segura and husband Mark, of Jarreau; two grandchildren, Derrick Segura and friend Jennifer, and Steven Segura; brother, Son Kimbrell; and three sisters, Sis Fruehling, Charlene Whitehead and Jimmie Green. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Fannie Kimbrell; parents, Charlie Joe and Mattie Kimbrell; and two sisters, Pud Love and Tootie Ford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pennington Cancer Research Center at Baton Rouge General Medical Center or the American Heart Association.
