Mr. Blaylock was a retired U.S. Army first sergeant and a former fire chief for the city of Winona. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was a member of New Hope Methodist Church, the Winona Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and the Mississippi Firefighters Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Hood Blaylock; and a daughter, Dedia Ann Blaylock.
He is survived by a son, Bobby G. Blaylock Jr. of Winona; three sisters, Mazell Prewitt of Hollandale and Shirley Boatman and Margie Shaw, both of Winona; two brothers, Herbert Blaylock and Robbie Blaylock, both of Winona; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at Oliver Funeral Home.
