Bessie Jane Lucas, 82, of Belva died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Walkersville, Md.
She was born Oct. 5, 1922, at Vaughan, Nicholas County, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Spicy Keith Foster.
She was a member of Vaughan Baptist Church, Vaughan.
Surviving: children, Delmus Lucas of Franklin, Tenn., Dennis Lucas of Elkview and Norma Kemp of Walkersville, Md.; sisters, Nellie Brown and Dorothy Crouse, both of Belva, and Carolyn Foster of Bridgeport; brother, Harless Foster of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Tammy Huddleston, Brandon Lucas, Kimberly Quinn, Jennifer Schelling and Heather Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Quinn, Keith Quinn, Alexander Kephart and Samuel Huddleston.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Vaughan Baptist Church with the Rev. Delmer Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Vaughan Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery.
