Carolyn Jane Aitken, 70, of Newark, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Alter Care South. She was born February 5, 1950 in Wheeling, WV to the late Clifford and Constance (Longstaff) Aitken.

Carolyn graduated from Mingo High School class of 1969. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, card games, bowling, and listening to Elvis. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. Carolyn retired from the Newark Convalescent Inn.

She is survived by her sister, Connie (Rod) Bishop; sister-in-law, JoAnn Aitken; nieces and nephews, Deborah (W. Daniel) Anderson, Rebecca (Craig) Constantine, Vicki McCoy, Charles (Linda) Aitken Jr., and Steve (Donea) Bishop; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and lifetime friend, Carolyn Hamilton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Aitken Sr.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities, C/O Gathering Space, 116 N. 22nd St. Newark, Oh 43055.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 6, at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Campbell officiating.
