He is survived by his daughters: Kyra and Tamra Roybal and their mother: Lisa Abeyta (Joe); as well as his two brothers and six sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Gerard was a beloved member of the community and church and was always willing to help anyone who asked. He was a devout Catholic and would attend church services every Sunday at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe del Valle Pojoaque. Gerard was retired from Santa Fe County Public Works as a mechanic. After his retirement you could always find him fishing or out at a garage working on cars. He was a member of the United States Army and the National Guard Reserve, and he took great pride in being a veteran for his country. Gerard lived a happy and full life and he will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
