Private Family Funeral Services for Esther Anna (Reese) Rottger of Troy, MO will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Old Monroe, MO. Rev. Michael Kasevich, church pastor, and Pastor Eugene Rahmeier, pastor of Friedens United Church in Moscow Mills, MO will officiate with burial in St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery, where she was a lifelong member. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Voepel, Shawn Gibson, Travis Gibson, Jennifer Thompson, Owen Stroud and Larry Noble. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Stroud, Joey Chite, Jessica Chite, Bryan Thompson, Jason Kitson, Tony Noble, Pam Noble and Chrissy Stroud.

Esther, 88, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 2, 2021 at Westchester House in Chesterfield, MO. Born February 12, 1932 in St. Louis County, MO (Blackjack) she was the daughter of Ernst Frederick and Esther Wisdom Reese. Esther graduated from Lincoln County R4 High School in Winfield, MO. She was united in marriage on August 11, 1950 in Old Monroe to Floyd Joseph Rottger. This union was blessed with five daughters: Mary, Roselinn, Joyce, Elva Mae and Patricia. Esther loved anything to do with horses and passed this love down to her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, working in the farm fields. Esther worked at various places with the last being Monsanto/MEMC from which she retired in 1997 with 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; her parents; brother, Ernest “Butch” Reese; sisters: Helen Buster and Hilda Kimberly; and son-in-law, Charles Mehs.

Survivors include her daughters: Mary Ann Mehs of Elsberry, MO, Roselinn Noble and her husband, Tony, of Foley, MO, Joyce Noble and her husband, Larry, of Winfield, MO, Elva Mae Gibson and her husband, Kenneth, of Elsberry and Patricia Voepel and her husband, Norman, of Moscow Mills; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild on the way. Esther also leaves many other relatives and friends.
