Services for Ernest "Pete" Dennis,67,Pine Grove Community near Jacksonville, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Pannell Chapel CME Church with the Revs. Charles Hill and Roger Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under direction of Williams Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Mr. Dennis died Feb. 9 at his residence. He was born Nov.5, 1934, in Jacksonville and attended Pine Public school and Fred Douglas High School. He was a logger, and farmer. One daughter, son, parents and two brothers preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Ernest Ray Dennis and Ronnie Dennis, both of Tyler, 14 grandchildren and six great -grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Travis Porter, Jimmy Mosley, Tyree Wells, Roy Mosley, Lester Dennis, Gerald Wayne Porter and Glenn Dennis.
