Obituary for Grace Evelyn Pugh
Grace Evelyn Pugh, 91 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday February 1, 2021 at her residence in Hall County with her daughters by her side.

Grace, known for her childhood nickname Boots, was born on April 23, 1929 to the late James and Laura (Odom) Fennell in Thomasville, GA. Grace's memorable pastimes from childhood were roller skating or visiting the movie theater for a nickel each show. In fact, one of those old showings is where she met the love of her life, Ernest Claude "Dean" Pugh, whom she celebrated over 70 years of her life with. Grace worked at Sears in Atlanta and went on later to create P&S electrical wholesale with her husband, establishing roots in Conyers, GA. Grace loved to dance, specifically the jitterbug with her husband, playing cards and singing. She enjoyed traveling & taking cruises, but Casinos and trying her hand at the slot machines was one of her favorite hobbies. An avid collector of Gone with the Wind and I Love Lucy she especially loved collecting Christmas decor which she had an entire room dedicated to. Later in life, Boots enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She enjoyed her chocolate as well as the occasional glass of Riesling.

The saying, "big things come in small packages" holds especially true for this little lady. The redheaded, green eyed beauty had a heart of gold. Boots will be remembered for her immense generosity and her ability to see the joy in all things as well as the constant smile on her face. Love, laughter, and a good time were always a guarantee. You could hear her voice a mile away and her laughter was contagious. She will truly be missed.

Grace is survived by her daughter Gloria Bishop, son & daughter in law Ernie & Brenda Pugh, son Steve Pugh, daughter & son in law Ron & Judy Williamson, grandchildren Jimmy Hopkins, Wendi Beasley, Kris Pugh, Lori King, Wayne "Bubba" Pugh, Lindsey Williamson, Erin Dunn, her 13 great grandchildren and her sister Martha Jean Latimer.

Grace is predeceased by her parents, husband Dean Pugh, grandson Jeffrey Hopkins and siblings Mabel Jackson, Lil Haas, and Billy Fennell.

A Private Entombment Service will be held at Lawnwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Matthew Henning officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to www.wheelerfuneralhomecom.
