Pastor Dave Albert October 3, 1944 - February 3, 2021
Pastor David James Albert, 76, of Eldon, died at 12:30 a.m. February 3, 2021 at Hospice House in Ottumwa. He was born October 3, 1944 in Ottumwa to Richard and Frances Mary Shuert Albert. He married Winifred Ann Troxel July 14, 1967. A graduate of Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, MO, he attended Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College and Drake University. He opened and managed the Tractor Supply Co. in Fairfield until 1976 when he purchased and operated Thomas Implement. Pastor David came to his faith in 1974 and ministered in the Eldon area. In 1982 he became the Pastor of Living Hope Bible Church. He especially enjoyed his youth ministry and retired in 2012. He truly loved people and his genuine personality allowed him to reach others in an amazing way. Pastor Dave was very gifted in woodworking and enjoyed playing golf. Surviving is his wife, Winnie; their children, Richard (Michelle) Albert and Timothy (Christina) Albert both of Eldon; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Trevor, Trey, Cynthia and Bristol; a brother, Bill (Janice) Albert of Eldon; and a sister, Betty Dimmitt of Chico, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Dale Rezner; and brother-in-law, Jim Dimmitt. Visitation with family greeting friends will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 7th at Living Hope Bible Church. The family asks those attending to respect the social distance of others. Online condolences may be left at www.rfh-ia.com. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 8th at Living Hope Bible Church with Pastor Mark Clark officiating.
