Mary R RUSH Moon is the daughter of John RUSH and Eleanor Jane aka Ellen ALLEN Rush. She was born in January 1852 in Jefferson Co, Iowa. Soon after, her family moved to Wayne Co, Iowa where she grew up. On 10 Jan 1877 at the home of her parents in Wayne Co, Iowa, she was married to Joseph William Moon. While living in Wayne Co, Iowa, they had twin sons John Floyd and William Lloyd on 8 June 1878. By 1883, they were living in Ringgold Co, Iowa and had their third son Joseph Carl on December 1883. On the 5 June 1895, they lost their son William Lloyd Moon and he is buried in Ringgold Co, Iowa. On the 1900 census, Indian Creek, Anderson Co, Kansas, she and her family were living and farming. After retirement, they moved to Colony City, Anderson Co, Kansas, her husband dying 13 June 1920 and was buried in Colony Cem, Anderson Co, Iowa.
