Kathryn Kaehr, age 84 of Nappanee, IN, went home at 10:15 am Monday, January 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1936 in Marquand, MO to Arthur and Carrie (Rauls) Monie. Kathryn graduated from Marquand High School. Her husband, Vernon Kaehr preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Kaehr worked at Mutchlers/Triangle Pacific after 28 years and retired from Skyline Corp in 2007 after working there for 12 years. Katherine enjoyed sewing and knitting. Mrs. Kaehr is survived by a son Larry Kaehr of Nappanee, IN; a daughter Angela (Harry) Welles of Elkhart, IN; a step-daughter Chris (Randy) Kirkpatrick of Ligonier, IN; a step-son Lee (Debbie) Haslett of Granger, IN; 4 grandchildren, Zach Kaehr, Ashley Kaehr, Daniel Hawkins, Jessica Hochstetler; several step grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Roseda Mouser, Marquand, MO; and a sister-in-law Evelyn (Glenn) Monie of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Mrs. Kaehr was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers: Russell Monie, Glenn Monie, and Edward Monie; and a sister: Anne Combs. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastor Rob Haslett and Debbie Haslett will officiate.
