Mary first married Henry A. Crsip February 2, 1873 in Graham County, North Carolina. They were the parents of four known children: Arie T., Emily Julia, Sarah E., and Burlis Crisp. She married a second time to Calvin "Cal" Lane July 24, 1889 in Graham County, North Carolina. They were the parents of two known children: Dollie Mae and William "Willie" A. Lane. William was born June 4, 1893 and died July 24, 1964 in Andrews, Cherokee County, North Carolina. His final resting place is yet unknown. It is interesting to note that Mary's younger sister Rosetta Maynor married Calvin Lane's younger brother Bartlett Lane.

NOTE: There is a discrepancy between her headstone and historical documents regarding her death date. Mary died November 19, 1938 in Graham County, North Carolina although her headstone indicates a different date.
