Furneral services for Mrs. John Bruhn, 80, Platte Center farm resident died at 8:30 am yesterday at Lutheran hospital, will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the
Gass Bideaux Mortuary. Rev. A Holm of Platte Center will officiate, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
Born in Germany, July 11, 1861, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Chris Stuck, she
came to the United States in 1892 and settled at Dysart, Iowa. They lived there
for five years. Later the family came to Nebraska and settled on a farm five
miles southwest of Platte Center where they have resided since.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Platte Center.
Surviving are nine children, Mrs. G. N (Minnie) Brooks of Vay, Idaho, Mrs Ed
(Edith) Hurner of Monroe, and Miss Anna Bruhn at home, Claus of Lindsay, John of
Genoa, Pete of Herford, Colorado, Gerhart of Humphrey, Rudolph of Omaha, and
William of Lebanon, Kansas and a sister Mrs John (Catherine) Hansen of Genoa.
