Mary Ackert Wood, 74, of 39 McKinley Avenue, Dumont, N. J., died at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey on Feb. 9 after a brief illness. Born in Wefct Park, she had lived in DuMont. N. J. since 1925. She was a member of the Bergen County Republican Club. She is survived by her husband John R. Wood; two daughters, Mary Schnieder of Paramus, N. J., and Florence Allan, Rivervale, N. J.; a sister. Hazel Schmidt of West Park, and three grandsons. Funeral services will be at the Freeh Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue. Dumont, N. J. Monday Feb. 12. at 10:30 a. m. Friends may call on Saturday from 7-9 p. m. and Sunday 2 5 and 7-9 p. m. Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park.
