Ira E. Barnett died at his residence in Zachary at 5:35 a.m. today after an illness of five days. He was 64 years old. The body will be taken from the Woodruff funeral home late today for the residence where it will remain until near the hour of the funeral tomorrow. Services will be held at the Zachary Baptist church at 10 a.m. and interment will be in Shiloah cemetery near Pine Grove. Mr. Barnett is survived by five sons, D. E., L. R., J. H., R. E., D. D. and O. C.; two daughters, Mrs. D. F. Hunt and Miss Willie Pauline Barnett; six brothers, T. E., R. E., H. E., D. G., W. Y. and Homer, and a sister, Mrs. Abi Brannon.
