He was born in Davies county (Daviess, Missouri) March 4, 1896, to Joseph and Mary Hoyt Coberley, and married Bertha Bolander December 16, 1917, at Green City, Missouri; she died March 30, 1979.
Mr. Coberley was a retired J. I. Case Company employee and a member of Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian church of Pleasant Grove.
Surviving: Three sons, J. L., Mt. Pleasant; Kenneth, Morning Sun, and Aven, New London; brother Victor, Trenton, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Elliott chapel, the Reverend Walter Russe; Trinity cemetery. Memorials to Shinar church and New London Care Center have been established.
