He married K. Grace Reid about 1914.
The couple had three children: LeRoy R. Jr. in 1915, Douglas P. in 1917 and Mabel C. in 1918.
LeRoy lost his son Douglas at the tail end of World War II when his jeep hit a land mine in Germany.
He was a shipping clerk, first at a rubber mill and then for many years at a lumber yard.
Besides Lambertville, LeRoy also lived in Trenton, Mercer Co., New Jersey.
He was a nice man, according to his wife's niece.
LeRoy had two known grandchildren and nine other known descendants as of early 2009.
Thanks so much to Russ Pickett, who graciously transferred this memorial and offered a much better gravestone photo.
I would be more than happy to transfer this memorial to a closer family member. Please click on my name, below, to email me.
