Went to Georgia in 1818. Married November 21, 1829 in either Putnam County or Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia, to Elizabeth STANFORD (1810-1875), by whom he had at least seven children, from ca. 1831 to 1850. Moved to Talbotton in August 1831 and appears on a grand jury list there 1834. On April 11, 1852, witnessed the noncupative last will and testament of James STANDFORD (no doubt a kinsman of Miranda's wife), which was probated in Talbot County soon thereafter. Headed a household on the 1860 census of Talbot County. Worked as a brickmason and plasterer, and built the Methodist church in Talbotton in 1857. He was the oldest member there when he died, having been a member for 50 years. He died at his farmhouse, about three miles south of Talbotton.
