His funeral was held Wednesday at Page Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Eby officiated. Burial was in Floral Memorial Park.
Mr. Cantwell was born in Round Rock, Texas. He had lived in the Caruthers-Fresno area for 25 years before moving to Madera 19 years ago. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Edna of Madera; seven daughters, Ruby Brown, Pauline Fleming, Tommie Jean Willis, Edith Albritton and Estelle Thomas, all of Modesto, Joyce Oldhan of Fresno and Frances Love of Texas; two sons, Donald Lee Biehle and Douglas W. Biehle, both of Texas; three brothers living in Texas; a sister, Dorothy Davidson of Sacramento; 40 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
