Clifford James Washington, 66, longtime St. Augustine resident, transitioned on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. The son of Isaac and Julia (Smith) Washington, he was a native of Roba, AL. Clifford was a retired maintenance man, employed by Florida School for the Deaf & Blind and the Florida East Coast Railroad for many years. Clifford was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, St. Augustine. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. His parents and 2 brothers, George and Johnny Lee Washington preceded him in eternity. Survivors: 10 children; 8 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. Public visitation: 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 6, Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 222 Riberia Street, St. Augustine, Pastor Sidney Hardy, Sr., (Eulogist). Homegoing Celebration: 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 280 Duval St., St Augustine, Pastor Richard A. Madison, Sr. (presiding). Interment: Evergreen Cemetery.
