Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Earle, 89, a resident of Birdville community since the days when the town was the county seat, were held Wednesday afternoon.
Born in Virginia, Mrs. Earle came to Texas in 1874, traveling as far as Dallas by train and from there to Birdville by stagecoach.
She died Tuesday night at the home of a son, Charles J. Earle, living near Birdville.
