Louie Derwood McCuan, 85 of Star City, former resident of Dumas, passed away January 28, 2021. Born September 4, 1935 in Arkansas City, Arkansas the son of the late, Frank and Alma Jarrett McCuan. His parents, his wife Louise McCuan and sister, Margaret F. Carter preceded him in death.

Mr. McCuan was a member of Rankin Chapel Baptist Church, for many years he enjoyed going to nursing homes and have singings as Louie called it.

Survivors are a stepson, Stephen McCuan of West Virginia, one sister, Patricia McCuan of Star City, Arkansas, his niece and caretaker, Carol Walz of Star City, Arkansas and two grandchildren.

Visitation held 1-2 PM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Home. A private graveside service to be held at Dark Corner Cemetery with Rev. Julius Carter officiating.
