Mr. Eugene T. “Dick” Sams, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Wellstar West GA Hospice in LaGrange.
Mr. Sams was born in Butler, Georgia on October 7, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee Sams and Tera B. Sams; wife, Carolyn G. Sams; sisters, Willa Mae Brooks, Mary Wilson, Joyce Preast and Sue Wynn; brother, Clarence Sams.
Survivors include his brother, Ernest (June) Sams of Thomaston, GA; sister, Shirley (Jimmy) Coleman of Griffin, GA; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate.
