Christeen Barneycastle Ireland, 86, of Mocksville, NC passed away at Forsyth Hospital on January 24, 2021.
Christeen was born on December 15, 1934 in Davie County. She was the daughter of the late William “Billy” Barneycastle and Mamie Stewart Barneycastle. In addition to her parents, Christeen is preceded in death by her brothers E.E “Gene” Barneycastle, P.H. “Doody” Barneycastle, and William “Sant” Barneycastle.
In life Christeen worked in assembly at a furniture factory. She was of the Methodist faith and attended church at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church.
To cherish her memory Christeen leaves behind; a son Harvey Cranfill (wife-Delaine) of Mocksville, a daughter Regina Ireland of Mocksville, a brother Spencer Barneycastle, and a sister Louvella Kiger. Christeen is also survived by her grandchildren; Heath Cranfill (wife-Ann) and Brianna Cranfill, step grandchildren; Jim Brown, Johnny Brown (wife-LeeAnn), and Ellie Drye (husband-Noah), and step great grandchildren; Kody, Mason, and Lyla Brown, also, Caleb and Aslen Drye.
A visitation for Christeen will be held Friday January 29, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. A graveside service for Christeen will be held on Saturday January 30, 2021 starting at 11:00 am at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bob Brigg.
