A memorial service for Lucile Pauling Jenkins, a longtime resident of Estacada , will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Estacada Masonic Lodge. Disposition was by cremation.
Mrs. Jenkins died Sunday in her home of ventricular fibrillation. She was 88.
Mrs. Jenkins was the sister of Nobel laureate Dr. Linus Pauling of Palo Alto, Calif.
She was born Jan. 1, 1904, in Lake Oswego. In the 1930s she worked as a secretary in Portland. She married Lemual Lawrence Jenkins in Portland in the late 1930s, and the couple made their home in Estacada . Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker and a pianist who accompanied musicians in Estacada .
Her husband died in 1965.
Survivors besides her brother include her son, Dr. Donald P. of Washington, D.C., and sister, Pauline Pauling Emmett of Lake Oswego.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Linus Pauling Institute in Palo Alto.
