He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Sweat Burden; son, Brian Burden; parents, Noah and Christina Chittick Burden.Robert M. Burden, age 87, of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was a member of LaFollette Church of Christ and a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from Y-12 after 26 years, a board member of CORA, and the Caryville-Jacksboro Utility Board. Preceded in death by wife, Juanita Sweat Burden; son, Brian Burden; parents, Noah and Christina Chittick Burden; brother, Harry Burden and sister, Margaret Peugeot.

Daughter: Debbie Jones and husband Steve

Sons: Mark Burden and Bobby Burden

6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends

Friends may come by Cross-Smith Funeral Home Monday between 12 Noon and 6 PM.

Family and friends will meet 9:30 AM Tuesday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Goins-Sweat Cemetery for a 10 AM Graveside Service and Interment with Brother Ben Shafer officiating and Military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
