Funeral service for Paul Goodrich Arnold, age 88 of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 12 PM until 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Paul was born on March 20, 1932, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Willis and Leah Edde Fears Arnold. He worked as a milk delivery driver for Avalon Dairy and then in the cutting room at Serbin. After retirement, Paul worked at Pendergrass Supply. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling to yard sales and flea markets, and was affectionately known as the “Turnip Green Man”. Paul enjoyed attending the sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Highland United Methodist Church. Paul passed away on January 25, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Mae Adcox Arnold in 2019; grandchildren, Diane Thompson and Jonathon Dollar; siblings, Ray Arnold, R.W. Arnold, Mary Lee Pirtle, Dot Chisam, Homer Fears, Floyd Fears, Lois Barnes, Flossie Metcalf, and Wilma Skrowski.
