SALESMAN IS DEATH VICTIM
John T. Carey Sr., Was Avid Horseman
   The death of John T. Carey, Sr., 66, of 416 Schuyler Avenue, Kingston, occurred Saturday afternoon in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital. He was a well-known horseman in this area.
   Born in Larksville, Mr. Carey previously resided in Dallas and Forty Fort. He attended Larksville schools. For 27 years he was a salesman for Luzerne Motor Company prior to his retirement in 1962. He served as trailmaster for the North Mountain Trail Association, Back Mountain Horseman's Association, and was well known as a horseman. He was a member of St. Vincent's Church, Plymouth.
   His wife, the former Emily Jenkins, died March 15.
   Surviving are a son, John, Jr., Kingston, manager of Jet Finance Company, with whom he resided; a daughter, Mrs. William Baran, Forty Fort, wife of a Dallas High School teacher; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Eugene Bryan, Larksville; Ambrose, Irvington, N. J.; Joseph, Larksville; Mrs. Edward Hummer, Elizabeth, N. J.; William, Wilkes-Barre; five grandchildren.
   Funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 from the Boyle Funeral Home, 333 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. Vincent's Church, Plymouth. Burial will be in Forty Fort Cemetery.
   Friends may call today, 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
