LOGAN – A. Lamont King, age 47, formerly of Montpelier, Idaho, died Friday, February 28, 1992 at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home in Logan, following an extended confinement due to Diabetes.
He was born July 25, 1944 in Montpelier, Idaho, the fifth child of Arvil Hayes and Elnora Lydia Simmons King. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1962, shortly before moving to Logan. He married Bonnie Hickox July 4, 1975. They were later divorced. He had a lifelong love of cars and worked at Checker Auto Parts until his illness forced his retirement. He was a former president of the Bridgerland Early Iron Car Cub and had been a member of the Cache Valley Cruiser’s Association.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon L. and Roger King, both of Logan; his parents, of Logan; three sisters, Mrs. Robert m (Gwen) Brown, Montpelier, Idaho; Mrs. Mark S. (Marjorie) Norris, of Logan; Mrs. Leonard J. (Connie) Mouritsen, of Darby, Montana; one brother, Dale S. King of Provo, Utah.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1992 at Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, with Bishop Rocky Maughan conducting. Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9-9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, National Center, 1660 D??e Street, Alexandria, VA 22314
