Son of Aime Philius and Mabel Trudell Berard.
Married Joyce Carole Shoaf. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Kimball Dirk (Diana Drake) and Kevin David Berard (Cathy Dodds); grandchildren Whitney Hope, Joshua Phillip, Christian Dirk, Ethan Parker, Russell Alan and Rachael Lynn Berard; great grandchildren Havanna Rose, Milo Edward and Anna Claire Berard.
He was preceded in death by sister Rosemarie Berard Grasso.

1948 graduate of Springfield Technical High School.
He pursued a degree in chiropractic at Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He practiced as a chiropractor out of his home in Kingman, while also working at R.R. Donnelly and Sons in Crawfordsville. As he progressed in management positions at Donnelly, he eventually decided to make that his career, retiring in 1996, after 39 years.

He enjoyed attending his sons’ activities, from sports events to speech competitions and later traveling to spend time with the grandchildren.

He was a talented pianist, who enjoyed music, photography, reading, and traveling.

Member of Christ Lutheran Church in Crawfordsville, where he very much enjoyed reading the scripture texts during Sunday worship services.
He was also a member of Kiwanis International.

Service 2pm Tuesday, January 26 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, Crawfordsville.
Visitation one hour prior to service.
The service will be live streamed, recorded and can be viewed on his obituary page at Sanders Funeral Care.
Burial at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
