Joe Wallace Adams, 77, of Pickens, SC passed away on January 21, 2021 at the Cottingham Hospice House.

A native of Pickens, Mr. Adams was the son of the late Lewis Columbus and Lucy Viola (Anderson) Adams. He was a graduate of Pickens High School and a retiree of Duke Power after 25 years of service. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Six Mile, SC and former deacon and Sunday School teacher.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Finley Adams; daughter, Amanda Adams of Anderson, SC; and daughter, Andrea Griffin (Trey) of Pickens, SC; grandchildren: Will Griffin of Seneca, SC; Adam Joe Griffin (Carson) of Four Oaks, NC; and Gracie Griffin of Pickens, SC.

He was predeceased by two sons, Joey Adams and Allen Adams. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Coburn Adams, Lewis Cothran Adams (Frances) and Daniel Brooks Adams (survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Adams) and sister, Kathy Sue Adams. Mr. Adams was also predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wallace Finley and Geneva Chapman Finley.
