Joshua Ryan Anderson, 41 years, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and formerly of Denmark, Iowa died unexpectedly January 20, 2021 at his home in Cedar Rapids. He was born November 25, 1979, the son of Gerald J. and Nancy (Grossman) Anderson.
Josh was a 1998 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He attended the University of Arizona and later the University of Iowa, where he studied music performance. He worked for US Cellular for several years. Josh had a lifelong love of music, linguistics, and history.
He is survived by two sisters, Tami (Aaron) Schumann of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and Tennelle Anderson (David Kuhn) of Woodbury, Minnesota; and nieces, nephews, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one cousin.
Private burial will be at Denmark Cemetery, Denmark.
