Thomas K. Titus

Thomas K. Titus, 57, of East St., Stafford Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

He was born in Stafford Springs, son of Anna K. (Kunay) Titus and the late John L. Titus Sr. Tom was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and was currently employed by the State of Connecticut Department of Correction as an Armory Supervisor. He was also part of the State of Connecticut Department of Correction Tactical Operations Unit as Team Leader for Hostage Negotiations, Firearms Instructor, and an elite and proud member of the Honor Guard. He was a very well respected officer in law enforcement. Tom was a member of the West Stafford Fire Department and Fire Police, a Town of Stafford Constable, and former Sergeant of the Stafford Springs Police Department.

A loving husband and father, Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Dawn M. Titus; his three children, his first born son, Timothy J. Titus, Daddy's little girl, Christina M. Titus, and his little boy, Cody J. Titus; his mother, Anna K. (Kunay) Titus; four brothers, John L. Titus Jr. and his wife, Diane, Robert Titus and his wife, Judy, James Titus, and Jeffrey Titus and his wife, Rita, all of Stafford Springs; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007, with a procession forming by 9 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Church Service at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, corner of West Main St. and Church St., Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in Hill Side Cemetery, Stafford Springs.

Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
