Ralph was born in Rush County a son of the late Harley and Dorothy (McConkle) Becraft. He married Donna Jean Denton April 2, 1949 and she preceded him in death Dec. 15, 2015. Ralph was a gentle quiet and sweet man that enjoyed his family and friends. He loved square dancing, golfing, fishing, gardening, bowling, woodworking and being outdoors piddling around his yard.

He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Connersville in 1987 after 39 years of service. Once retired, he worked for the Rush County Schools as a custodian for a few years. Following the love of his life's lead, he joined the Catholic faith and became a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 769. He enjoyed working on committees with friends and especially helping with the annual fall festival.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jim Becraft (companion Heather) of Seattle, WA; Kathy Williams of Muncie, IN; John (Kim) Becraft of Indianapolis, IN; Joanna (Walt) Brown of Greenfield, IN; Chris (Lisa) Becraft of St Louis, MO.
