William E. Baker
January 18, 1927 - January 17, 2018

William E. Baker, 90, residing in Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Admiral's Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.

William was born on January 18, 1927 in Bellevue, OH to the late Carl and Clara (Ellis) Baker.

William retired from Sandusky Metal Products in Sandusky after many years of service as a cabinet maker. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia and a 30 year member of Car Coddlers. He enjoyed everything about antique cars. He also enjoyed woodworking and talking with everyone and to anyone, and spending time with his family.

William is survived by his daughter; son; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters; sister-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Hylon L. (Fladt) Baker in 2005 and brother, Thomas Baker.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 9:30 am until funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Pastor Kathleen Suggitt of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
