He is survived by one sister, Velda Russell of Union, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Joe was born January 11, 1937 in Wright City; son of the late Ross Leland Cox and wife, Alice Ruth (Rodgers) Cox. He graduated from Wright City High School. Joe’s entire working career was as a Union Laborer and he farmed his entire life. He was united in marriage to Ellen Pearson and they made their home in Wright City. Joe was known to be a very hard worker and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen, September 5, 2012; one sister, Ann Cox, in infancy, and five brothers, Walter Cox, Robert Cox, Tommy Cox, Arnold Cox, and Ross Cox.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
