"Mrs. Elizabeth Dorethea Heideman, age 63, a lifelong resident of Jackson County, died at the home Wednesday afternoon. Death followed an illness of 2 weeks' duration with double pneumonia.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday from Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. E.E. Streufert, pastor in charge. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Heideman was born in Jackson County on August 8, 1879, the daughter of Harmon and Elizabeth Duwe Alberring, both deceased. She was baptised on September 7, 1879 and was confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church here by the Rev. Mr. Schmidt on March 26, 1893.
Mrs. Heideman was married on February 26, 1899, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church here to Ernest Heideman, who survives. She was widely known throughout Seymour and Jackson County and enjoyed the acquaintance and esteem of a host of friends who mourn her death.
Besides the husband, she is survived by 6 children, Albert Heideman, Clarence Heideman, Mrs. Wilson Nichter, Mrs. Ralph Bode, Roy Heideman, and Edward Heideman, of Seymour. Two brothers, George Alberring and Ed Alberring, both of Seymour, and three sisters, Mrs. Melia Kleekamp of Saginaw, Michigan, Mrs. Katie Rittman of Seymour, and Mrs. Sophia Schakel of Indianapolis, and six grandchildren also survive. One sister, Mrs. Laura Wilson, preceded her in death."
