Born in August of 1929, in Wilmington, to the late L. Winfield Kelly Sr and Louise Cavenaugh, he is survived by brother, Johnny Kelly, and four sons; Everett Sr. and Lois Kelly, Glen and Crystal Kelly, David and Jean Kelly, and Mike and Susan Kelly, grandchildren; Marsha Kelly and Robert Hollowell, Tammy Dorsey and husband, Bryan, Everett Kelly, Jr. and wife, Ashley, Joshua Kelly and wife, Angela, Derek Kelly, Caleb Kelly, BrittniAnna Kelly, Jon-Luc Kelly, Ethan Kelly and Emma Kelly; great-grandchildren; Kelsea, Chloe, and Hailey Godek, Tia and Kaia Dorsey and Savannah and Emilia Kelly.
He is preceded in death by two siblings; sisters, Margaret Mason Turner and Fern Butts.
Winfield loved Jesus and he loved people. His journeys in life as a missionary and pastor with his wife Pinkey, who passed in 2018, took them to Hawaii, Mexico and the Philippines.
Due to Covid-19 this will be a private family service to be held at Spring View Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 801 N. College Road, Wilmington. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery located at 105 Military Cutoff Rd.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation for the beautiful care provided by: CAPS, Assisted Care, Liberty Hospice and Spring View Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Spring View P.F.W.B. Church, 801 N. College Rd., Wilmington, NC 28405.
