Following an illness that commenced five years ago, Alice K. Joslin, wife of Frank L. Abbott, died on Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at her home, 517 N. Washington Street. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Abbott was born in McConnellsville on February 18, 1854, and was married in New York Mills 41 years ago. The family has lived in this city for 36 years. Mrs. Abbott attended the Baptist Church and during her long residence here made many friends both in the church and city at large.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Misses Mary and Geneiva Abbott of this city and a cousin, C.H. Joslin of Detroit, MI. Rome Daily Sentinel, Monday Evening, August 23, 1920
