Frederick H. Carpenter (88) was the third child of five children born to John P. Carpenter 1827-1901 and Sarah Knowles 1831-1912 , a Quaker by birthright and buried Sherburne West Hill Cemetery Chenango County, NY. He was educated in Smyrna, New York. He lived in Oriskany, New York since 1912. Occupation: He was employed by Savage Arms Corporation, a maker of superior firearms for hunting. Later he became the Superintendent of Oriskany Cemetery until he retired in 1953.

He was a member of the Friends Society in Smyrna, NY (Quakers)

On Aug. 21, 1898 in Livermore, Iowa, he married Della F. Mulford, dau of Walter W. Mulford and Bertice Clarissa Stoddard.
