M. Auline Walker, age 96, a resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, formerly of Mount Vernon, TX for 26 years, died Monday, October 8, 2007, in Dallas, TX. Born September 23, 1911, in Hunt County, TX, she was the daughter of Joe Vernon and Sarah Lemons. Preceded in death by Marion Walker whom she married in 1938 in Maple, TX. She lived in Bailey County, TX, and Texaco, NM, retiring to live in Mount Vernon, TX.
Auline enjoyed traveling with the Traveling Texans. She was a long time member of the Baptist church. Survivors include her children, Don Davis and wife Gertrude Davis, Bob Walker and wife Sandie Walker, Jerry Walker, Weldon Walker and wife Linda Walker, Sarah Dempsey; grandchildren, Scott Davis, wife Janet Davis, Steve Davis and wife Linda Davis, Donell Wiggins and husband Phillip Wiggins, Shannon Delaney and husband Rusty Delaney, Shane Walker and wife Feriel Walker, Brian Walker, Brent Walker, Rissy Walker, Mandy Moles, husband Matt Moles, Cathy Barrow and husband Boone Barrow, Ricky Dempsey; and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Service 12 noon, Friday, October 12, 2007, at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Morlan officiating. Graveside service 3 p.m., at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX.
