Jeannine Kaye Aeikens, 64, of Sycamore, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.
Born Jan. 24, 1943, in Clarkfield, Minn., she was the daughter of Jesse and Ethel (Falkum) Willander. She married Wayne R. Aeikens on Feb. 8, 1964, in Clarkfield, Minn.
Jeannine was a member since 1965 of the Bethel Assembly of God in Sycamore; she was very active in the church. She worked for Ideal Industries in Sycamore for 35 years. Jeannine loved to cook, scrapbook and collect cookbooks and teddy bears. She loved to do all kinds of crafts.
`She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Sycamore; three children, Lynnette (Jeff) Solomon of Barrington, Ronald (fiancée, Janet) Aeikens of Mesa, Ariz., and Diane (Victor Tryee) Aeikens of Belvidere; three grandchildren, Brittany, Celeste and Jesse; her mother, Ethel Willander of Clarkfield, Minn.; a brother, Eloit (Barb) Willander of Hopkins, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 131 W. Elm St. in Sycamore, with the Rev. William Mills officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
