Barbara Ogle

Knoxville - Ms. Barbara Ketchen Ogle, born April 2, 1923, the only child of Frederick E. Ketchen and Hope Aline Jensen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 10, 2021.

Barbara was an award winning local artist, avid gardener and talented ice skater. Barbara and her husband Richard were members of Macedonia United Methodist Church on Holston Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee, for over fifty years.

Barbara was preceded in death by both parents; many friends; family and her beloved husband, H. Richard Ogle with whom she spent just shy of 50 years.

Barbara, who her grandchildren called "Baba", leaves behind daughters, Julie Hope and Babbie Shell and son-in-law, Chuck Shell; grandson, Christopher Seaton and granddaughter, Katharine Killen and husband, Roger Killen; granddaughter, Claire Michaels and husband, Joshua Michaels, granddaughter, Halie Gallik and husband, Michael Gallik.

Barbara leaves nine great-grandchildren: Anthony Killen, Brenna, Carlie Dewhirst, Evelyn, Anthony and Daniel Michaels, William, Anna and Charles Gallik, and a very special sister-in-law, Ada Underwood.

Family and friends may call at their convenience on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from 12:00 to 5:00 pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, Knoxville, TN 37924. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Macedonia Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service, Rev. Michael Jennings officiating. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Macedonia United Methodist Church. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
