Thaddeus Stocker (1747-1838) was laid to rest in Bantam Cemetery. Unfortunately, his stone is completely gone.
He was living in Litchfield County when the war broke out. He enlisted May 1775 in Major Welch's Company, General Wooster's Regiment and went to Fort George and Ticonderoga.
Litchfield Enquirer. 1 March 1838 — DIED In this town, on Monday last, Mr. Thaddeus Stocker, aged XCVIII — a revolutionary pensioner — and the oldest person in the town.
