T.R. Norrod died at the home of his father, J.A. Norrod in Hico on Wednesday, May 23, and was buried there in the Millerville cemetery beside the grave of his mother. Mr. Norrod lived in Stamford until about a month ago when it became apparent that he had only a short time to live and he went to Hico to spend his last days with his father. He had been sick for more than a year and had undergone two operations without success.

Thomas Richard Norrod was born in Hopkins county, Texas, November 14, 1879, being 48 years of age at the time of his death. When quite young, he moved with his parents to Navarro county. He resided there until some 15 years ago, when he came to Stamford, where he lived until about a month ago. He was converted at the age of 19 and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, South, and lived a consistent member of that church until his death.

He was married to Miss Fannie Jones of Atwell, Callahan county, July 10, 1921.

Service was held by Rev. J.H. Hamblen of Stamford and Rev. W.T. Boulware of Hico in Hico.

Surviving: his wife; aged father; four sisters, three brothers.
