Obituary for Pattie Ruth Adams
Pattie Ruth (Meadors) Adams, Beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend passed away January 8, 2021 at Memorial Hospital North, in Colorado Springs, at the age of 91.
Pattie was born on December 1, 1929, in Westcliffe, to Frank and Georgianna (Hall) Meadors. She graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo, in 1948. On November 6, 1948, Pattie married Donald “Bob” Adams. Together they made their home in Pueblo, CO. Where they raised their three children. She worked as a nurse at the State Hospital for over twenty years. After retirement she stayed busy: teaching painting classes, spent endless hours volunteering with Girl Scouts, teaching Sunday school, and working with hearing impaired children.
Pattie was most fondly remembered as Granny Goose. Her and Bob loved entertaining at Good Sam campouts and about everywhere they could. She passionate about creating art and teaching others to do the same. She loved collecting Campbell’s Soup Kids. The only thing she admired more than her kitties were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, and her daughters Sue and Nora. Although, she will be missed dearly, we find comfort that she will be with them again. Pattie is survived by her four brothers Bill Meadors, Samuel Bird, Ronald Bird, Arthur Bird, son Bill Adams, daughter Patti Santisteven, 38 grandkids and great-grandkids, and countless friends.
